Privacy policy
In effect 20 August 2026 · Last updated 20 August 2026
This policy explains how Markaitek collects, uses, communicates, retains and protects personal information in connection with the probaro.io website and the Probaro product. It is written in clear and simple language, in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25.
1. Who we are
Probaro is a product published by Markaitek, a company established in Quebec.
- 134 rue de l'Hermitage, Magog, Quebec J1X 0M7, Canada
- info@markaitek.com
- markaitek.com
2. Privacy officer
In accordance with Law 25, we have designated a person responsible for the protection of personal information:
Privacy officer
support@markaitek.com
134 rue de l'Hermitage, Magog, Quebec J1X 0M7, Canada
You may contact this person directly with any question, any request for access, correction or withdrawal of consent, or to file a complaint.
3. What we collect on this site
A) Information you give us
When you fill in the call request form, we collect:
- your name;
- your work email;
- your company name and its approximate size;
- a description of the process you want to automate, and the tools you already use, if you choose to tell us.
Fields marked as required are necessary to process your request. The others are optional.
B) Server technical logs
For each visit, our server automatically records the IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the response code and the browser type. These logs serve only security and technical diagnosis. They are not used for profiling, audience measurement or advertising.
3bis. Form collection notice
The call request form displays a short notice. The full version, which governs, appears below.
Markaitek collects your name, work email, company details and stated need through this form in order to answer your call request and, where applicable, assess your eligibility for our early-client program. Fields marked as required are necessary to process the request.
This information is accessible to authorized members of our sales and operations teams and may be processed by the service providers identified in section 8. It may be communicated outside Quebec where this policy so states.
We keep it for at most 24 months after our last exchange, unless a legal obligation or a differing justified need applies.
You may request access to or correction of your information, and withdraw your consent to certain uses or communications, by writing to our privacy officer, support@markaitek.com.
4. What we do not do
This site was built to collect only what is strictly necessary. Specifically:
- No cookie is set — not essential, not analytical, not advertising.
- No audience measurement tool: no Google Analytics, no Microsoft Clarity, no equivalent.
- No advertising pixel and no tracking identifier: no Google Ads, no Meta, no LinkedIn, no TikTok.
- No resource loaded from an external server: no font, no script, no third-party image. The entire page comes from our own server. The form, once submitted, is sent to our orchestrator, hosted in the same datacentre in Quebec (section 8).
- No call recording or transcription from this site.
- No profiling, and no decision about you taken automatically.
This is verifiable in the site's content security policy, which permits a single outbound destination: our own orchestrator, which receives form submissions. Every other request to a third-party server is blocked by the browser.
5. Why we use this information
- to answer your call request and prepare that conversation;
- to assess, where applicable, your eligibility for our early-client program;
- to keep the site secure and working properly;
- to meet our legal and administrative obligations.
We do not use this information for targeted advertising, and we do not sell it.
6. On what basis
We process your information with your consent, which you give by voluntarily submitting the form, and where necessary to answer your request. Technical logs rest on our legitimate interest in protecting the site, with minimal impact on your privacy.
You may withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, by writing to the officer named in section 2.
7. Cookies and tracking technologies
This site sets no cookie and uses no tracking technology. No consent banner is therefore necessary, since there is nothing to consent to.
Should this change, we would tell you, those technologies would be off by default, and we would obtain your consent before activating anything, in accordance with Law 25.
8. Where your information is processed
We publish our providers and processing locations below, so that your organization can document its own privacy impact assessment if it needs to.
| Function | Provider | Processing location | What passes through |
|---|---|---|---|
| Website hosting | OVHcloud | Beauharnois, Quebec | Pages served, technical logs, form data in transit |
| Domain name resolution | Cloudflare | Global network | Only the resolution query for the name probaro.io. No page content and no form data passes through it: traffic goes directly from your browser to our server. |
| Security certificate | Let's Encrypt | — | Domain name only |
| Form reception | Markaitek (orchestrator), on OVHcloud infrastructure | Beauharnois, Quebec | The fields you filled in, transmitted over HTTPS |
| Processing of requests received | Markaitek | Quebec | The content of your form, once received |
This table is dated and kept current. If a provider is added, it will appear here.
9. Transfers outside Quebec
Website hosting, form reception and the processing of the requests you send us all take place in Quebec, at Beauharnois. The site and the orchestrator that receives your requests are hosted in the same datacentre.
Domain name resolution is provided by Cloudflare, whose infrastructure is global. That operation concerns only the name probaro.io: neither page content nor your form information passes through it.
Should processing ever take place outside Quebec, we would first carry out the assessment required by section 17 of Law 25, and this policy would say so.
10. How long we keep it
- Form information: at most 24 months after our last exchange, unless a legal obligation or a differing justified need applies.
- Server technical logs: at most 30 days, by automatic rotation.
At the end of these periods, the information is destroyed or anonymized.
11. How we protect it
- end-to-end encrypted connection, with forced redirection to HTTPS;
- access to received requests limited to authorized members of our sales and operations teams;
- strict security headers preventing the site from being framed and blocking external resources;
- server kept up to date, logs on limited rotation.
No measure is infallible. In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury, we notify the persons concerned and the Commission d'accès à l'information, and we record the incident in a register.
12. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may:
- request access to the information we hold about you;
- request the correction of information that is inaccurate, incomplete or equivocal;
- withdraw your consent to certain uses or communications;
- request the destruction of information whose collection, communication or retention is not authorized by law, or whose purposes have been fulfilled;
- request to receive, in a structured and commonly used technological format, the information you provided to us;
- obtain information about the categories of persons with access to your information and about how long it is kept.
Write to the officer named in section 2. We reply within thirty days. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
13. Automated decisions
This site takes no decision about you, neither automated nor assisted. Your request is read by a person.
The Probaro product, when used by a client, makes it possible to run processes that include automated steps. In that setting it is the client who determines the processing and who bears the corresponding obligations towards the persons concerned. Our terms of service frame our role as supplier.
14. Minors
This site addresses people acting in a professional capacity and is not intended for minors. If you believe a minor has sent us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.
15. Links to external sites
This site links to markaitek.com and to the Commission d'accès à l'information. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of sites we do not operate.
16. Changes
We may amend this policy to reflect a legal, technical or operational change. The update date at the top of the page is adjusted accordingly. Any substantial change will be brought to your attention in a reasonable manner.
