“Am I allowed to do this?”
This is the question your legal advisor will ask. Here is the answer, plainly.
Under Quebec’s Law 25, entrusting information about your clients to a vendor requires you to be able to explain what is done with it, where it is processed and who can access it.
Our servers are in Beauharnois, Canada. Not elsewhere in Canada, not in the United States. For that part, nothing leaves Quebec.
What we will not claim.
We will not claim you have nothing to do. The law requires an assessment when adopting a system that processes personal information — with us as with anyone else.
What we give you is the document that makes it short: where your data sits, who processes it, which companies it passes through. Your legal advisor works from that instead of starting from nothing.
It is also the question to put to your current vendors. Few are able to answer it.
